This week has distractions

Seeing as the hourly rate for blogging is a little less than spectacular, I’m required to work to earn a daily crust. However, some weeks have their compensations. I would certainly say I’m a little distracted and feeling less inclined to sit in front of a computer during my off hours this week…

With all that nice stuff out there, this is where they are making me sit all day, in an attempt at schadenfreude I believe.

You may of course add your commiserations at my predicament in the comments.

With all due respect, Peter… No, I can’t say what I am thinking right now respectfully.

Kate, still digging out from under all the snow.

  2. Hope you have good trip, Peter, but I can’t say I feel sorry for you. I’ve spent many business trips sitting in a room just like the one in your third photo, but in a much less sunny location: Ottawa

They should have these trips scheduled mid winter, say in Resolute Bay. Best motivation to stay in doors is seen twilight on the horizon, at NOON!

Interesting to note: NO people in top two pictures, all the golf carts parked. LOCKDOWN…

    Sympathetic? ummm, ummm, no!

Peter, I must have missed something…

    WHERE are you??? 🙂

And nope, no pity from this girl because when you do have time off it looks quite lovely, wherever it is! Enjoy!

Usually, it is stated that Schadenfreude has no direct English equivalent. For example, Harper Collins German-English Dictionary translates schadenfreude as “malicious glee or gloating.”

Gloating? “Your predicament”? May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your tents, or something like that!

Well Peter, i often drop in for some tidbits of knowledge, however the title of this one, is so apt, it’s scary…
This week has “distractions”, oh my yes, especially true for us anglicans down here in the states.

Its been a wild ride, looking forward to some peace in Holy Week.

Susan, I was in Phoenix – very pleasant in March. And Sheila, by the time you were typing, so was I……

Hello Grandmother, I hope very much too that this week, at least, we can focus our eyes fully on Christ without any other distractions!

    Steve L – Heh 😉
