Normal service….

….will be resumed shortly, whatever normal service actually is around here. The weekend was a tad busy, and yesterday we sat our Canadian citizenship tests – which seemed to involve standing in a queue for two hours to sit a 5 minute exam!

So you are applying for citizenship then? πŸ™‚
Any more word on Peacefield; or anything from the Lord lately?

I am so busy at work there’s hardly a day off or time for anything else; but still the Lord is good and He is faithful. How are you faring with work these days Peter?
    I pray all is well!

    Many blessings to you,

  2. I do hope you’ll fill us in on what was on the test. Would the average native-born Canadian be able to pass, I wonder?

  3. Kate says:

    I doubt it…

  4. Peter says:

Yes I am Susan, and no further word on Peacefield as yet. I do know all about being far too busy! Hopefully we can find some time to talk soon…..

Hello Scott. It wasn’t too hard, really. They asked me who the PM of Canada was – I answered Celine Dion, of course – everybody knows that.

So Kate, which provinces formed the confederation and in which year? πŸ™‚

  5. Kate says:

Upper and Lower Canada, PEI and Nova Scotia, 1867

  6. Kate says:

Well now, I just looked it up and it seems I embarrassed myself. Province of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. At least I got the year right.

  7. Peter says:

Of course, you will now have to be deported from the country πŸ™‚

  8. You mean, Kate will have to move to Quebec? πŸ˜‰ (I’m an expat Quebecois myself, so I’m allowed to say that, yes?)

  9. Kate says:

I grew up in Montreal. My family was part of the 1976 anglo exodus. Did they ask you who Pierre Laporte was? Or James Cross?

  10. Kate says:

Well, I live in Ottawa, it wouldn’t be very far to move. There are even people from Chelsea who go to St. Alban’s, imagine!

  11. Peter says:

I don’t think I’d last long in Quebec – much too Anglo-Saxon I’m afraid (it’s my boyish good looks and light hair that gives it away). lol

  12. Peter Bird says:

Hope you both passed – Love to Ruthy

  13. Peter says:

We did – and have our citizen ceremonies on 11th April! πŸ™‚
