A passing breeze, a dawning light

He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.
Ps 78 v39

I would speak a word of mercy.
Mercy to the sons of men.
Mercy to the undeserved, unredeemed and unregenerate.
Mercy to a people upon whom a great darkness has fallen;
as wickedness spreads abroad in the land.
Can such a people be saved?
Can these dry bones live?

Were the Lord like man,
the time for mercy would be past, long ago.
But there is no shadow of turning with Him,
His faithfulness encompasses all generations.

The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”
Matthew 4 v16
