Leviathan marches on

Now, if you follow this blog you know that I’m chronicling the UK SOR regulations and subsequent fallout. These regulations are not all that they would appear to be on the surface, rather they are being fashioned as a weapon against the church, which in my opinion has been the intent all along.

Imagine my ‘surprise’ when I find that the test cases are already starting:

Reaney, 41, from Llandud-no, North Wales is bringing an action against the Hereford Diocesan Board of Finance, claiming that he was refused the job on the grounds that he was a homosexual. His complaint is being backed by the homosexual group, Stonewall, the notoriously anti-Christian political lobby group largely responsible for the imposition of the SOR’s.

Reany’s “orientation” was not the issue, the bishop said, “But Mr Reaney’s lifestyle had the potential to impact on the spiritual, moral and ethical leadership within the diocese.”

The Christian doctrine of sexual purity is still the official teaching and policy of the Church of England, and Bishop Priddis said, “What is at issue is the lifestyle, practice and sexual behaviour, whether the applicant is homosexual, heterosexual or transsexual.”

So, does this madness stop in the UK? Well, watch for the carbon-copy bill coming up in Oregon. Watch for the subsequent victimisation from those who will clothe themselves in victim status. Watch for the stab in the back from those who carry the cross, but reside in the pocket of the god of this age.

Welcome to Leviathan.

UPDATE: This bill has now passed in the Oregon House.

There will be a day, when this too will pass, but until then, Lord have mercy on us all!

I lived in Oregon for many years, I loved it there. Even while we lived there, we could see it moving more and more over the edge of liberalism. The state is ruled by the Interstate 5 corridor. While the rest of the state is openly conservative and votes consistently that way, the bigger population centers are extremely liberal. The whole issue there has been coming for a very long time now and still it grieves me so.

I was so upset when I heard of the steps that were taken in the UK as well. Lord all of this drives me to my knees in prayers of intercession and repentance for our nations.

Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus! Forgive us all Lord Jesus, forgive us all! We have failed to be the salt and the light within our own nations, denominations and generations, forgive us all.

Every Blessing in the Lord Jesus Christ to you and yours Peter!

Peter, we are following and protesting SB2, but with little hope outside of an earthquake waking up the people of this extremely liberal state.

For years I was very involved with the political scene here (coincided with homeschooling ) but it was like beating your head against a rock. The conclusion I came to was the only way to truly change this nation, or this state in which we live is through prayer and in Jesus changing and transforming hearts and minds .
Sinners sin, that’s what they do.
And in Oregon, they do it boldly as it is encouraged and promoted.

Point in case: a friend of ours daughter works at PSU where they are taught that the children in the daycare there are already homosexuals at the age of 2 and 3 years old. They have to read the little ones books that promote homosexuality as a normal lifestyle, like “Heather has two mommies” …

That sad thing is that books like this are written for preschoolers at all.
May the Lord have mercy and forgive us indeed.
It’s why we are out where the people are talking to them about relationship with Jesus Christ. You would be surprised at how many gay couples will talk with you, or come up and take a tract, and you can see the wheels turning as the Spirit moves on their hearts.
So I guess I do have hope, but I still think it’s going to take an “earthquake”. 😦
For everyone who is seeking, there are many more militantly opposed.

    Ok, enough for now.

    Blessings to you Peter!

Protesting as in praying, signing a petition….
more is accomplished through prayer ans spiritual warfare, than walking around with signs, especially in this state.
That only stirs up the hornets into a frenzy of anti christian backlash.

  4. Ha Tikvah says:

Well, if TB and this dire Government he heads continue in power for much longer, the next thing we’ll face is our ministers and pastors being told they can’t preach on 2/3 of the bible because it’s going to offend someone or will be against someone’s rights!! You just KNOW it’s coming!! TKR

Reaney’s orientation should be the issue. But its not. Being only flesh and blood part of me agrees with the global depopulation program and if people are willing to volunteer for it then good for them. Its just that I don’t agree that the church should be playing the role of Judas and telling the suckers that homosexuality, divorce and all the other stuff is okay in the eyes of God. As Mcalmond said this too will pass but so did the Days of Noah? Think about it.

  6. Dan says:

It is the children who will be spiritually damaged by this deception. Television has conditioned the minds of the kids I teach in CAtechism that gay activity is fine; they are ususally surprised to see that it is a sin in Scripture.

satan is trying to sexually violate our future generations with this attack; ultimately, he wants to sexually violate the body of Christ, which is what happened with the Catholic priest pedophile scandals. This is spiritual warfare. We need to resist with the weapons of the Spirit not of the flesh.

I think there will be pastors fined and jailed for teaching Scripture on these issues. It’s just a matter of time before that happens; it is already occurring in parts of Europe.
    Peace, Dan

I don’t know if any of you know this or not, but the Chinese Church is praying for persecution to come to America. Obviously it is so we can WAKE UP and really be the SALT of the earth! They know what life in Christ really is, because they face prison, torture and death on a daily basis for preaching the word. They memorize books of the Bible, so they will have it in their hearts if their Bible gets taken away. I wonder how many of us would have His word in our hearts if they outlawed Bibles here? I can just see this Bill leading to Pastors’ arrests, but I also see an awakening coming because of the persecution. I don’t know whether to pray for it to stop, or for it to come. All I know is that I am not God, and I can’t see the spiritual condition of the church as He can, and only He, as a loving Father knows what is best for us! He disciplines and chastens those He loves!

  8. Peter says:

Phil – These things are a grief indeed,. In the meantime, what can we do but be aware that this world is not our home. There will come a time, but it is not yet. Blessings on you.

Susan – I thought you might be aware of this one. Lord have mercy indeed. Blessings!

Ha Tikvah (gotta love that tag 🙂 ) Yes, it is inevitable if things carry on this path. Of course, it will be done in the name of the great god ‘tolerance’.

white rabbit – Indeed, exactly what is it that will take for these days to pass. An avalanche perhaps.

Dan – It is spiritual warfare, and it will affect our children. Though, I have a hunch that God is raising up a body of those who are currently children to be something very special indeed.

Jen – I did not know that, but I can understand why they are. It sounds odd, but I rather think it would be a blessing – better to wake up now than in the fires of hell. Lord have mercy.

  10. Diana says:

I protested to our local Mp and urged him to vote against this regulation, and he passed a letter on to me from Meg Munn, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State. Usual load of waffle, but I’ll pick out two parts of interest. ‘..there was a clear divide on the issue of how the regulations ought to balance the competing rights of individuals to hold and manifest a religious belief against the right to live free from discrimination.’ and she goes on ‘Our approach will ensure that nobody will be required to change their core religious beliefs.’ Too right, what arrogance! This somehow reminds me of the Emperor’s new clothes, but in this case it is trying to be ”fair” to everyone, until someone stands up and says ”you’re wrong, we can see through you”.
We need strong leaders but where are they?
    God’s blessing on you.

  11. Peter says:

And also on you. You are right, just blah, blah, blah. Note the use of ‘core’ though. Things that are deemed not ‘core’ are up for grabs presumably?
