Forgive me, but I’m going through a bit of an ‘Elijah, meet cave’ time at the moment. Don’t really know why; probably all will be well shortly.
In the meantime, let me bring you a little quote from this book:
If we take the biblical witness seriously, it seems that one of the best things we can do with money is to give it away. The reason is obvious: giving is one of our chief weapons in conquering the god mammon. Giving scandalises the world of commerce and competition. It wins money for the cause of Christ. Jacques Ellul has noted, “We have very clear indications that money, in the Christian life, is made in order to be given away.”
Some food for thought…
It’s January. Definitely cave time.
Good and yet challenging word. Thank you!
Blessings in Christ Jesus!
Good food for thought Peter…
I will be praying for you! so far this year has started out rather, um.. challenging to say the least. Been in the cave and on the florr a lot, but Jesus is Faithful Peter, and He IS with you in there!
His love, His peace and His grace to you today,
make that floor… :>)
Peter, there is a time for everything (Eccles. 3:7b). You need time to rest and to be, the Lord would not want you to burn out. And remember I’ve been a Cave for a long time and have learnt much along the way, and seriously there is something comforting and creative being in the dark yet surrounded.
Thank you all…..
David also endured in the Cave of Adullim
He was true to his master even though he was hunted by him
He could have killed Sual in the Cave of Adullim
We must endure and be of good faith
