UK’s downward spiral

I thought it best to get this one out of my system in one go. The stories pretty much speak for themselves, and they really are only the tip of the iceberg that has caught my attention over the last few months.

I’m British, but it’s hard to be proud of my country anymore.

A warning that cannot be ignored

  1. All examples of why a “Canterbury-less” Anglicanism is under discussion (or maybe even emerging).

And Canadians seem to be following, wagging our tails behind us. Alas.

  3. I’m an Anglophile, as I suppose most Anglicans are. What is happening in once-Great Britain is just shocking. How could the nation that is arguably the cornerstone of western civilisation have lost its way so completely and so quickly? What happened to the land of Wilberforce, Shaftesbury, and Churchill?

As Gene says, Canada is headed down the same path. Lord, have mercy.

I found the article on divorce interesting. I was born in 1964, which according to some was the last year of the baby boom, and according to others the first year of generation x. Throughout my growing up years, I don’t remember having very many friends with divorced parents.

Greetings. It would appear that II Timothy chapter 3 is coming to pass on a global scale. May we all be awakened to the seriousness of the hour and seek the Lords will in all things. I’m keeping you and your household in prayer.

I’m curious as to your take on the prophecy at the following link.

    http://members.aol.com/chursey/c_alan_martins_house_vision.htm

I found this last week and it suggests that the next US president will be the “last” US president. It’s truly late and the days are growing darker. This should not cause panic but should make us realize that our redemption is nigh. This prophecy is also linked to in a post on my site entitled “The Last president” which was published late last week.

Thanks for another post that highlights the truth that these are treacherous times and we must draw close to the Lord Jesus who is our life and perfect peace.

Have a blessed day in Jesus.

Yes, Canada is just as bad, and I was about to post on that.

I was born in 1969 Kate, and I don’t remember too much in that way. Perhaps the wave was then building, certainly it wasn’t uncommon either.

I think Timbob I would adopt a wait-and-see for this kind of prophecy. We’ll know if it was correct if it happens. In the meantime, you don’t need to be especially prophetically gifted to read the signs of the times!

    Blessings,

    Peter

It seems that tolerance has gone mad here Peter, but when you are away from public areas with the CCTV etc., it surprising what the average Joe Bloggs really thinks. Those in authority make the noise but underneath there are rumblings. The UK will change but then it always has, think of the days of St. Cedd trying to convert the Anglo Saxons of Essex. It will work out, God has a plan I know.
    God bless you.
